Glutathione is a tripeptide made of three amino acids: glutamate, cysteine, and glycine. It occurs naturally in most living cells and is one of the most important intracellular antioxidants, thanks to the thiol (SH) group in cysteine.

It belongs to Cellular Energy & Longevity and Skin & Cosmetic Research, and is used in laboratory studies on oxidative stress and intracellular redox balance.

  • Form: lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed Vial.
  • Strength: 1500 mg per Vial.
  • Preparation: requires laboratory reconstitution, usually with bacteriostatic water (Bac Water) from Research Supplies.
  • Storage: before reconstitution, keep the sealed Vial refrigerated (2–8°C), away from light and moisture; for long-term storage, freeze at -20°C. After reconstitution, keep it refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
  • Certificate of Analysis: in the “Certificate of Analysis” card at the top of this page and in the COA Library.
